Dr. Jyoti Saboo is a doctor of physical therapy, and has been a practicing physical therapist for the past 30+ years, having worked in almost all Physical Therapy settings, from acute care hospitals, rehabilitation/physical medicine facilities, to outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine facilities. Her experience encompasses all age groups, from infants as old as 2 weeks, to 107 year-olds. She has a strong pediatric background as well as geriatric, neurological and orthopedic background. Her approach in pediatrics is kid oriented- parent friendly- education focused. She believes in leveraging the developmental sequence and is able to effectively apply her knowledge of human motor development in her pediatric as well as adult clients. With the older clients, she offers customized services with a personal touch, integrating her knowledge of human development throughout the lifespan with the patient’s condition, and applies her physical therapy skill set to produce results.

She is highly influenced by her extensive yoga background of 30+ years in all her treatment approaches, and emphasizes the breath and postural alignment in her sessions. She believes in engaging “core control” as well as addressing the entire kinetic chain. She is a certified Yoga Therapist( credentialed by International Association of Yoga Therapists), and specializes in integrating yoga techniques and philosophy into her Physical Therapy practice , to offer a wholistic, personalized care model, grounded in the principles of biomechanics, alignment, posture and movement science, backed by her strong medical background and manual therapy skills. She also is trained/certified in various physical therapy techniques such as PNF, NDT as well as in kinesiotaping procedures.

She endeavors to make my sessions fun, interesting and informative for all who are participating, using a combination of manual therapy, postural education , therapeutic yoga and exercises to achieve the patient’s goals. She also make her clients work hard, although many do not even realize it! She teaches, and she learns from every client. She loves what she does, and it shows!

Jyoti’s extensive education combined with the depth of her experience, her philosophy and attitude towards her career has resulted in a repertoire of skills, knowledge and aptitude that adds depth and range to her services and enables her to deliver unparalleled care.

Jyoti completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy(DPT) from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania.

She received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of Southern California with an additional Diploma in Clinical Specialty in Neurology.

Her original Physical Therapy education was in Vellore, India, at Christian Medical College, and All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Mumbai, India.

In her spare time, she enjoys music, meditation, yoga and walking/hiking.

Dr. Heidi Maekawa

Dr. Heidi Maekawa obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University. Heidi chose physical therapy as it integrates her interest in human anatomy and her passion to serve and empower people to live life more abundantly. She is experienced in pediatrics, orthopedics, and neurologic conditions. Heidi is also certified in the LSVT BIG approach to optimize mobility for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. In her spare time, Heidi enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts, hiking, water coloring, crocheting, and enjoying vegan cuisine.

Janet Armstrong

Janet obtained her undergraduate degree in Exercise Biology and Psychology from the University of California at Davis. She then received her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Science in Pomona, CA. She decided to pursue a career in physical therapy after seeing the huge impact it can make on a person’s quality of life. Her interests in the field of physical therapy include both orthopedics and geriatrics. Janet continues to take continuing education courses to further her knowledge in orthopedic manual therapy.

Dr. Tomoko Kioka, MSPT, DPT

Dr.Tomoko Kioka, MSPT, DPT has been in the physical therapy profession for over 22 years. She received an MS degree in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Michigan and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Philadelphia. She spent the first 10 years of her career in an acute and subacute rehabilitation setting with a focus on stroke and post-surgical populations. Tomoko has taken numerous continuing education courses with a focus in NDT, and orthopedic manual therapy to treat specifically spine and extremities. She has also taken courses that consist of a variety of ankle/foot cases and applies corrective exercise for pain, muscle imbalance and impairment of mobility and function. Tomoko emphasizes rehabilitation as a holistic approach through a functional evaluation with treatments based on the individual’s lifestyle and needs thus providing a one on one customized therapy. Tomoko is fluent in Japanese.
